What areas do you support?

Women’s Mental Health Support

I offer gentle and compassionate therapy for the many layers of womanhood. Each layer can carry a unique kind of pain- one that is often invisible, complicated, and hard to hold.
The specific areas within women’s mental health I support are:
- Termination
- Medical Trauma
- Pregnancy Loss
- Birth Trauma
- Maternal Load - PMS, PME, & PMDD Support - Anxiety, Depression and Emotional regulation during hormonal shifts and life transitions
- Death & Non-Death Related Loss -Self-Identity Exploration - Chronic Stress - Burnout - Relationship Struggles -Parenting Challenges
Whether your pain is clear or harder to name, the ache of it is real, and it can leave you feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, and isolated. Please know, you do not have to move through it alone. I would be honoured to walk alongside you during your most tender times.

What types of therapy are offered?

Every woman is unique, and so too is her path to healing and growth. This is why I pull in a number of different therapies into session, to best meet the needs of each individual client. The specific therapy modalities I lean into most, are listed below.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy

Accelerated Resolution Therapy® (ART) is a brief, structured form of psychotherapy that helps reduce distress tied to difficult experiences or memories. Using guided eye movements and visualization techniques, ART helps your brain reprocess troubling images, sensations, and emotions so they no longer cause the same level of distress. *In-Person Only

Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT)

EFIT helps you gently understand your emotional world and the patterns shaped by your relationships, so you can feel more secure, connected, and at ease with yourself.

Somatic Psychotherapy

Somatic therapy supports healing by listening to the body, helping release stored stress and restore a sense of safety, calm, and connection

Psycho-Education

Psycho-Education offers gentle insight into the psychology of well-being, helping you understand what supports balance, resilience, and emotional health.

Where are you located?

With today's busy world, I strive to help clients easily fit counselling into their days. This is why Flora Counselling Therapy is mostly a dedicated virtual practice where online counselling sessions are offered through a secure, Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) approved electronic platform. This means that by eliminating travel costs, time, and stress, your sessions at Flora are located wherever they are most convenient and comfortable for you.

*In-Person Sessions are available for Accelerated Resolution Therapy Sessions. Please contact for availability.
